York Barbell (UK) is to support delivery logistics company DHL over the next couple of months in its aim to increase awareness of the work of the Rainbow Trust children's charity.
One of the centrepiece activities in DHL's yearly 'Life Cycle' fundraising project is the mobile 'Gym On Tour', which aims to go round and visit at least 40 DHL/customer sites from 14 June, starting at the Banbury depot.
For the event, York Barbell has loaned eight York SB300 indoor cycles and two X301 cross trainers which will make their way on a branded truck up and down the country, from venue to venue, on a daily basis.
Last year, DHL employees managed to raise more than £75,000 purely through individual sponsorship of the Rainbow Trust.
The trust provides emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
